Based on my experience..


1)Luyten (procyon+luyten has a higher success rate for decompiling)


2)JD-gui  (Since not updated 4m long time & methods often fail to compile and blocks of code are sometimes omitted)


 


The one i share here is just 4 Experiment....

I recently had a jar file for which all mentioned decompilers produced either non compiling code or the compiled executable wasn't working.

I looked at the bytecode and found that there were weired looking synthetic methods. I think a bytecode protector/obfuscater did this.

I want to share a solution if someone ever faces the same problem: I used the decompiled code to analyze the methods I need to patch and then used bytecode editors to patch the methods. This way I didn't lose the methods that couldn't be decompiled from the bytecode.
